Radio Road Closed, October 19
On Saturday, October 19, Radio Road will be closed due to a Red Flag Warning predicting warm temperatures, very low humidities, and high winds, which are expected to combine to produce an increased risk of fire danger.
Main Restroom Closed
The restroom near the main San Bruno Mountain Park parking lot is currently closed for safety while tree work is being performed. During the closure the two restrooms at the youth camp will be be open.
Intermittent Trail Closures on Ridge & Saddle Area, Sep 16–Nov 1
On weekdays between Monday, Sep 16 and Nov 1, weather permitting, workers will be at San Bruno Mountain treating scrub and invasive weed species such as gorse and broom. Treatment goals include the protection of sensitive grasslands and butterfly communities from competition by encroaching scrub and fast-spreading non-native species. Work will include up to 26 days of work, involving foliar or cut/stem applications of the herbicides triclopyr, aminopyralid, and/or imazapyr directly to the target plants. During the treatment, intermittent trail closures may take place on the following trails:
- Bog trail
- Old Ranch Road Trail
- Ridge Trail
- The trail from Hillside Blvd to the Ridge Trail
- Any social trails in the Southeast Ridge area
- The trail up to the Ridge Trail from Buckeye Canyon
Please stay on trail and heed all closures.
Brief Delays on Trail Near Main Parking Lot Until Nov 1
Until Nov 1, the trail leading from the main parking lot to trail marker 3 on Old Guadalupe Trail may have brief delays for pedestrian and cyclist traffic while tree work is performed on small trees near the trail.
